Last week, I was a guest on a podcast. Moses Ma, from Taiwan was also on the panel. FutureLab. FutureLab’s Manhattan 2 project is a reference to the Manhattan Project, which was responsible for developing nuclear weapons. The project is not about killing people but rather helping them. It is a human-centric AI deployment which ensures that people can live productive and happy lives, instead of being unemployed and homeless, as we currently are.
The other company I met is Level ExVideo game technology, developed by videogame programmers and subject-matter experts, can be used to quickly create new human employees capable of performing tasks and jobs in hours rather than years. This could allow people to compete more effectively with AI.
This week, let’s talk about how we can have a more positive post-AI future. I’ll end with the iPad Pro. This is by a wide margin the best tablet available right now.
AI Jobs Problem
Every Industrial Revolution created fears about job losses. These concerns were alleviated by the new jobs created due to the technology. This worked out eventually. I say eventually, because there were a number of problems with the transition, especially with older workers, who might not have the time or the interest to retrain, leading to spikes on unemployment.
This latest AI Industrial Revolution, however, is vastly different. We are not automating processes so much as creating technology that replaces individual people. Devin This is an example. The AI employee is being offered to fill a job. You can buy Devin instead of hiring a person.
AI and robots do not only exist to create new jobs. They are created to fill shortages. In the case of long-haul drivers who are in short supply, self-driving truck technology is being used to supplement and replace them.
Fast-food restaurants are also looking to replace all their employees with robots or AI, as staffing has been difficult since the pandemic. I haven’t yet tried one of these automated hamburger joints, but I did sample the automated Barista Dell created this coffee machine a few year ago. It was the best I had ever tasted from a shop. Robots and artificial intelligence could perform many tasks better back then than people.
What are the major job openings that AI will create? They’ll be the new jobs created by AI because they aren’t being done today. Why wouldn’t businesses create AIs in a matter of hours instead of retraining humans over many years?
But more importantly, who is going to buy the goods made by companies if AI or robots are used to replace the majority of workers? Robots and AI have no income. They are still programmed for specific tasks. They don’t have to eat or go to work.
FutureLab’s Manhattan 2 Project
Manhattan 2 is a fascinating plan that details a way to improve employee productivity and reduce displacement.
The plan seems to be unique because it places employees and not AIs at the heart of the project. The AI component is the focus of most AI deployments; any side effects, such as job displacement, are a common side effect.
AI will be a part of the new jobs. People will have to quickly improve their AI skills. The process will be similar to that of learning a language or musical instrument. For example, I wanted to be able to play piano, but I was not willing to put in the work. I suspect there are other people like me. In a minute, we’ll discuss how to make the learning process more enjoyable.
Manhattan 2 outlines the key requirements for progress. FutureLab offers a hands on VC approach that combines financial support with practices that assist various companies in creating more human-centric AI service that wraps their AI products.
There are several elements to the program: hands-on training, a focus on creativity, an emphasis on technology and its practical applications, peer coaching by companies that participate in the program. Progress tracking is also included, as well as a solution to ADHD for improving focus. There is an item called BrainstormBot The AI-based system can be used to assist both universities and startups in this learning process.
Manhattan 2 is a great effort.
Level Ex
The Level Ex training program is the most innovative I have seen. Imagine learning to play a game. Imagine that most of the applied education you received was through video games. Then imagine the ability to use the knowledge from the game in training others. You can also find out more about the following: AIs.
Level Ex’s main focus is on doctors. It uses games to allow doctors to quickly learn about specialties, which would normally take one or two years. It was designed for the Mars mission, because it was realized that, if an injured person needed help, they wouldn’t be able to send a whole hospital to Mars with their entire staff, and remote assistance from Earth would prove difficult due to latency or data rate issues.
In such a scenario, an AI would be created by the Mars medical officer to assist in diagnosing the problem. After instructing the doctor to take any immediate action, the officer will then recommend a video game-based program for training that will make the physician an expert at the procedure.
Imagine using this tool for training employees in AI. Instead of spending months or years on transitioning an employee, it would take only hours.
Video games are replacing traditional methods of learning such as books and lectures. This method not only allows for the demonstration of skills, but also their practice in simulations.
No real damage is done by initial mistakes. Employees are free to experiment with new processes and decision-making, exploring different outcomes, without risking their careers or jobs.
Every time employees need to be retrained, they can simply play a new game. I’ve heard from doctors who use the tool that they enjoy the games so much, they play them to pass the time. Imagine doing something that you would normally do for fun or leisure, and suddenly becoming more valuable to your employer.
The Level Ex Training Program is amazing.
Wrapping Up A Better Future
The combination of mass unemployment and a severe lack of employment for those who are displaced is a disaster. The rate of change means that not only will most students find their education inadequate for the jobs available, but also they won’t be able to adapt their skills quickly enough to compete with robots and AIs.
This doesn’t need to be the situation. We can use the Manhattan 2 outline and the Level Ex game-based training to create plans that will mitigate the employment risk. This will also help people become more competitive against AIs.
It doesn’t seem fun at all to me, but I love gaming. It would be amazing to have a video game that was both fun and relevant to my job.
We can create a better tomorrow. Just make this a top priority. FutureLab and Level Ex tools will make this better future possible.
New iPad Pro
Apple’s products are impressive, but I am not a fan. Apple Watch is currently the best product of its kind available.
While the iPad once represented a threat to the PC — a threat that Microsoft countered poorly with its Surface — it never fully realized its potential, often resembling a limited PC more than a breakthrough device. The latest iPad Pro It’s a knockout.
This new iPad Pro is a great device! The iPad Pro rocks! Apple must have packed in a lot more performance and a battery that is adequate for this thin product.

The display looks like my wish list for a perfect tablet display. You can usually get either great outdoor visibility or color, but not both. Not any more. The iPad Pro is not only a beautiful OLED screen, but also powerful enough to be used outside.
I am a tad concerned about how long this display will last since OLEDs at normal power wear out far faster than LCDs, and the extra power should accelerate that process — though we won’t know for sure until these have been in the market for a while. Some early testers have complained that the device was not accurate in terms of color, but I think it’s fantastic!
The M4 chip also impresses. The M4 chip is also impressive.
The new iPad Pro offers better keyboards, better haptics and a more advanced stylus. Apple Pencil Pro It is also thinner and lighter than all previous iPad models. These features are compatible with the iPad Air.
Apple Pencil Pro adds Find My support to Apple Pencil for the first-time, allowing users to locate Pencil Pro in case it is lost. The magnetic interface allows it to be charged, paired, and stored on the iPad Pro side. (Image Credit: Apple)
Microsoft created the Surface line to compete against the iPad Pro. (I’m still wondering if Microsoft is planning to discontinue Surface since it doesn’t market that line anymore).
The new Apple iPad Pro has me more than satisfied. This product is the Product of the Week, because nothing can come close to it.
